v0.0.0.3 -- New Emotion meter
Super No Crying in Baseball » Devlog
The emotion meter has been totally revamped-- it still needs a lot of work, of course, but we like what it's turning into. Here's how it works now:
- Emotion meter is now a rectangle that moves up and down within the meter (still moveable with the spacebar), from being a bar that you move the top of.
- The rectangle shrinks a bit after each inning.
- Emotion meter now displays a star in the middle of it, which you need to keep the meter touching.
- The star moves periodically up and down within the meter.
- "Emotion meter moves slower" upgrade has been changed to increase the range of the bar instead.
Other gameplay changes:
- Game now starts on difficulty 1, up from difficulty 0.
- When going up an inning, the screen now scrolls to the right instead of up/down (and moves left when returning to the field).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the future:
- Dad! Alongside re-adding Dad, we also want to have Dad interact with Kid a bit more. Cheering Kid on, telling Kid to do his best, etc.
- Design-a-Dad! With the addition of Dad again, we want you to be able to customize Dad however you want, even if it's to put a silly wig on him :)
- Pigeons! We want to re-add pigeons asap, but similar to Dad, we want some sort of interaction with pigeons to happen in-game. We're still designing this area, so it might be a while before we add our bird friends back in.
